NYDC
This book provides ‘snapshot’ of a trip to New York and Washington DC in the autumn of 2024. The book is part photographic portfolio and part art historical analysis, the later concentrating on works held in the art museums of these great cities by two of the most renowned abstract expressionists who both lived and worked in New York during the immediate post Second World War years, Jackson Pollock and Joan Mitchell.
Other artwork imagery includes photographs of a small selection of paintings that depict alternate views of these cities including two works by Edward Hopper, as well as street grafitti art by neo-expressionist pioneer, Jean-Michel Basquiat.
